Hi, Ellie writing! Over the summer holidays, we went on a trip to Germany for two weeks! We had to get up early to go to the airport, but usually I get up early anyway, so for me it wasn’t a big deal. I was obviously fascinated by all the different mechanisms in an airport, but Ted was bored and spent ages on our IPad. We arrived in Switzerland, but had to do lots of travelling to get to the Black Forest, where we were staying. We stayed in a cosy bungalow, and went on lots of beautiful walks admiring the scenery, hills and trees. We even had a delicious picnic at the top of one of the hills. We also had to make it interesting for Ted, so we went on a rollercoaster down a mountain, and went paddleboarding on a peaceful lake, as well as going on a cable car. I’m usually terrified of heights, but the rollercoaster had a brake system, so I went on that too (super slowly of course). Next we went to stay with our relatives in a place called Neider Olm, where we had lots of fun on a tree top walk, stroking their cat, and seeing the spectacular views from the top of a ruined castle. Unfortunately, Ted got stung by a bee, but he is ok now.
Then, we travelled to meet some more relatives in another part of Germany, taking their adorable dog on walks, feeding their cute buddies and eating lots of pretzels and cake.
Finally, we are now in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and have been to a lake, to a park, and have played mini golf with our family. When we have reached the end of our journey, I’ll update you on the rest of our time in Berlin and the flight home. By the way, our new Art Post is out now, but it is not on the art menu so search for it in the search bar: art post 13 portraits, or something similar.
Bye!
We’re back again! For the the rest of our trip to Germany, we stayed in Berlin and did lots of sightseeing, ate pretzels and ice cream, bought souvenirs and had a really great time. I practised my photography skills too, and a lot of Ted’s photos a4e ones that I took of him, so don’t be disappointed if you see less of me. We will be adding a new post to Photo Page today and will be updating it just like this one with photos. We would have liked to stay longer, but we have school soon, and need to catch up on sleep! What did you do in your holidays?
