On Sunday 6th May, Me and Ellie went to a small village called Ellesborough to go hiking for 2.5 hours through a shady forest. We played lots of games with our friends, and we collected lots of random sticks, mainly to use as stilts to cross the thick mud. Ellie came up with the idea, so we decided to try it out, and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, however, we got lost soon afterwards, and had to ask some passers-by where to go. The adults spent ages studying maps, so we decided to head off in the other direction. Suddenly, Ellie realised that they were nowhere to be seen. We crept back along the path, and looked around, but we couldn’t find them. We were lost! We headed off, making sure to keep to the path, but weren’t sure if we were going the right way. Our friend Lily was terrified! We ventured further, and we noticed that it was getting dark. I was a bit creeped out to by then, but Lily had a great idea! Ellie had a compass in her bag, and we knew that the adults were heading North! We decided to follow them, heading up the steep slope, and luckily we managed to catch up. The asked where we were for the past 5 minutes, but I said that we were away for at least 6 hours, and that it was all Ellie’s fault. Then Ellie glared at me and told them what actually happened. Later on, we saw the priminister, which made us all very excited! Then, we had to make our way home, stopping for ice-cream on the way.
