In this special summer holiday edition of Weekly News, we have: 5 fun day trips for you and your family in the summer holidays, some hilarious pranks, and a quick update on Ted and Ellie’s holiday! Some of these are free but some of them are more expensive. 1) Richmond Park! Richmond Park is a great place to have a picnic, build a den out of logs, go for a bike ride, make a rope swing and more! There is so much to do, so Ellie and Ted have been there lots of times themselves! 2) Cornish Maize Maze! The middle English word ‘maze’ more or less translates as ‘delirium’ or ‘delusion’. Back in the sixteenth century, hedge mazes were embraced by European royalty as a means of entertaining guests… but you don’t need to know all that to have a fun day at this maze, especially as this year’s them is Crops and Robbers, which will have you caught up in the fierce battle between Scarecrows and Crows. With 3 miles of paths and two lookout towers with brilliant views, finding your way out will be lots of fun. Once you’ve successfully completed the maze, don’t miss out on all the other activities on-site, including giant games, a tractor trailer safari and farm animals too. 3) Canoeing! You may already have a canoe or might have to hire one, but canoeing along peaceful rivers surrounded by nature is a great place to be for all the family. As Jack would say, however, there is nothing better than a fun day trip other than a fun day trip with snacks (and a few pranks too)! 4) Natural History Museum! Explore collections of ancient rocks and fossils, scientists with amazing theories and lots of fun facts in a fun and interactive way! Ellie loves going here to learn interesting facts about natural history, while Ted and Jack come mainly for the food, but if you want a great family day out, here is a great place to go. 5) Go Ape! Ted, Jack and Ellie have all been to Go Ape and definitely thought it was worth it! With so many different adventures and obstacles, this outdoors activity is fun and challenging for everyone! High up in the trees but secured in a harness, this is the perfect compromise for thrill seeking adventurer’s and nature- lovers who want to try something new!
Moving on, here are some hilarious pranks, brought to you by, well, Jack. First, get hold of someone’s phone, now swap the two names of the two people this person contacts the most around -you must be there for the chaos afterwards! PART 2 When you have switched the names back and the same person is lulled into a false sense of security again (or just use a new person but this is not guaranteed to work as they may have been previously warned about a certain someone playing pranks on people) then perform the next stage of the prank. Get hold of their phone and replace their normal voice message with: WUZ UP?? Then place their phone on silent mode so that they won’t hear it ring and after a few calls change it back to the normal ringtone. By now them and the people they contacted will be extremely confused, while you can be listening to all the hilarious conversations!
Finally, here is what Ted Ellie and Jack will be doing for their holidays! Jack will be visiting Spain, and Ted and Ellie will be going to Germany, and once again, Bournemouth beach. Hopefully they will be able to post these adventures on the website!
