In this special edition art post, we will be making a scrapbook! You will need: Coloured and/or Patterned Paper, Ribbon, a Hole Puncher, Photos, Coloured Pens, Glue, and other small items which remind you of a special moment. This is a easy, fun and creative art idea, that you can treasure forever.
First, grab some assorted colourful paper to decorate for your scrapbook. Use some glue to stick on your photos. Leave a bit of space between each photo, and some space near the inner edge to hole punch and tie it together at the end. When you are done, choose some of your other items to stick in between each photo, still leaving some space.
Next, add some colourful designs to your paper with coloured pens. (Unless your paper is already patterned, then it is optional.) You can draw abstract swirls or flowers or something else cheerful, it is your choice. Make sure the background stays the same colour that it was originally, however.
Finally, hole punch the edges you left blank, and tie some colourful ribbon through the holes to secure the pages. If you want, you can design a front cover, but this is optional.
Some extra things you could do are making a theme for your scrapbook (such as family and friends, or places you have been) or you could order your scrapbook (such as grouping photos from each season, or for each different subject such as a party or a special event)
Ted and Ellie hope you enjoyed making a scrapbook as much as they did!
