For this project, you will be making a themed cushion cover! You will need, bondaweb, and iron, a background fabric, colourful felt, baking paper, a theme, embroidery thread, and optionally a sewing machine and thread. Cut out 4 squares of colourful felt and choose a design for each of them. Use a template to cut out your designs from other pieces of colourful felt. For the most detailed squares, use bondaweb underneath your felt pieces to iron them on to the square. Use baking paper on top of your piece when ironing it! CAUTION! An iron is very hot, so ask an adult to help you with this part or ask them for permission to do it yourself with their supervision. For the simple shapes, use embroidery thread and a needle to sew it on to the square. If you have a sewing machine, using it for the remaining shapes. If not, use more bondaweb or embroidery thread. Now, sew your squares onto the background piece, preferably with a sewing machine or embroidery thread but you can use bondaweb as it is easier, if you want to. MAKE SURE TO LEAVE A SEAM ALLOWANCE AROUND THE EDGES! Next cut out of black or white felt the name of your theme and bondawed it into the center. If you want to add other things at this point to your cover to make it more unique. Finally place the back piece of felt and background felt on top of each other inside out, and sew around three edges. Turn it the right way round, add stuffing or a small cushion, then fold over the last edge, Now you have a perfect cushion cover!
